Have you ever wondered how to breathe more life and dimension into flat cookie designs, or give the appearance of tricky materials like glass or metal? In this hands-on workshop, we’ll study techniques of illusion—piping royal icing, then painting our designs until they pop, dazzling viewers with lifelike cookie art. We’ll cover painting concepts (hue, values, blending, reflections, and intuitive shading), and use a variety of edible pigments and metallic dust to achieve delicious luminosity.

All skill levels welcome; ability to pipe and flood with confidence is recommended. Class workbook, access to online painting demos, all materials, and a swag bag will be provided.
