Join Sidney Galpern, inventor of Simi Isomalt, for this scary fun hands-on cookie workshop. In this class, students will learn to create this wonderfully wicked Gothic Bathtub Cookie, (which is a whopping 7" across!), using showstopping isomalt techniques including casting into molds, how to pour crystal clear windows, suspending edible images in isomalt, manipulating and forming isomalt freehand, and how to immediately incorporate isomalt into your existing cookie designs with ease. We will also go over all the isomalt basics including safety, stability, coloring, flavoring, working in humid environments, and preventing stickiness or clouding. We will finish the project with hand sculpted fondant elements and painted highlights for a stylized finish. Class comes with 2 Simi Silicone Molds and template to take home. All supplies provided for use in class.
